If like me you enjoy doing scientific research you should find the following interesting. In particular my interests are astronautics and telecommunications. As you know these fields of research need a lot of funding, so if you are the type of person who has saving accounts like Mozo savings accounts, you will know all about saving money for carrying out experiments.Some of my experiments below were rather ambitious. Often however, the projects are funded by the company you are working for.

Research concerns the optimization of Radar Absorbing Strucutres and Microwave Shielidng Strucutres. In order to optimize such structures Genetic Algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm has been adopted. In the video below an example of PSO algorithm convergence is shown. On x and y axes the sum of thicknesses of each layer of multilayer structure are reported. It is quite evident the minimization of global thickness of structure.
